As you may or may not know, Starbucks has released an evening Menu in certain locations. This evening menu is available in the afternoons and contains wine, beer, and a variety of small appetizer like menu items. If you know me you know that I am basically a stereotypical white girl Starbucks fan. (Except I've never worn uggs and I don't drink frapachinos. I want my coffee to taste like coffee.) I spend a lot of time and money at Starbucks. So to hear that they've released an evening menu was exciting for me and potentially detrimental to my budget. haha! Anyway! So Saturday night the hubs and I decided to go check it out! It's only available in five stores in our area and has only been available for about a week. So I feel super hipster getting in on this early. hehe!
So after dinner the hubs and I drive to out nearest Starbucks location around 7:30pm. It was pretty empty. As it probably usually is at that time of the night. So we go up and order. They have a decent wine selection and the beers were all local breweries! I am all about some local breweries! So I pick a beer and the hubs pics a wine. We looked through the appetizer menu and nothing on it is vegan. Not even the popcorn. So that was a bummer. But the hubs got the truffle mac and cheese.
So we order and go find some comfy chairs to sit and talk. Out of habit for my coffee drinks I suppose I kept my eye on the bar where they put your drink and call your name. But instead the barista actually brought us our drinks to the table! It made it feel like a real restaurant or something! I don't know, I just really liked that. It was a nice friendly addition to the laid back atmosphere. So he brings us our drinks and the mac and cheese is still cooking/heating up. He told us it would just be a minute more and was back with it shortly! I tried a bite and it was really good! I'm not gonna lie, I had super low expectations for the food. I mean I expected the normal prepackaged, microwaved warm, stale tasting food. But in fact it tasted more restaurant like than fast food! So kudos to Starbucks!
It was the perfect place to grab a drink and sit and talk. We had a wonderful date without spending as much as we would have going out to target or something. It's a cheap way to get out of the house for a date night without spending to terribly much. I soooo enjoyed it!
As we left there was a little shelf/counter thing by the condiments bar that looked like it was where we should put our glasses, utensils, and plate. But I'm still not sure if that's where it was supposed to go. So that was a little weird. Like; should we leave them on the table, take them to the shelf, take them to the drink bar??? But we put them on the shelf anyway.
It was seriously so fun and I was so impressed with Starbucks! Great environment! It wasn't as loud as trying to go to a bar or club for a drink. And if we had gone to a restaurant just for two drinks and an app and sat there for that long we would have needed to tip so much! (Yes , if you stay in a servers spot for an unreasonable amount of time you should tip them for the extra time they are giving you. Just fyi.) It was a great conversational environment! I think we will certainly be having another Starbucks evening menu date night in the future!

So what do you think of the Starbucks evening menu? Is it something you'd try? Have you tried it? What did you think?
